Thinking About The Big Easy

Roots-Playing-for-Crossroads It was just three weeks ago I was in New Orleans photographing "The Roots of Music" on Jackson Square with a couple hundred friends from Crossroads Church.   Now I set and watch as Hurricane Isaac moves thru Southern Louisiana and up the Mississippi River Valley, and can't help but think about the friends that are riding the storm out as they seem to do as a way of life.

On Monday I reached out to Dave Emond, Director of Development at Cafe Reconcile in New Orleans to let him know they were in our thoughts and prayers, Daves response was, "Crazy Coincidence with the date, but all signs point to this one being more gentle".   Seems this is the what comes with living in the Big Easy.
